At Earth Powder we are dedicated to leaving a lighter footprint on our planet and this means we have an ongoing commitment to sourcing and using sustainable packaging materials. As we evaluated the different packaging options available, our eco-consciousness brains were in overdrive and from a first principles basis we had to consider not just reusability and the recyclability but also the impact of our decision on fuel usage, storage, and the likelihood of damaged product. We also had to consider our COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) to make sure we would be competitive in the marketplace. All these factors guided our decision to start with a flexible pouch container made from Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) material.

PCR material is made from recycled plastic that can be recycled and then reprocessed into a resin and used to create new packaging. This essentially gives packaging a second life and reduces the amount of plastic waste. PCR material is collected and shredded into fine granules and then melted down and reprocessed into new plastic.

Many benefits come with using PCR plastic. This type of plastic is less wasteful than new plastic, as a reduced amount of waste is produced and collected, creating less waste in landfills and water sources. PCR plastic also reduces your carbon footprint for a more positive impact on our Earth. One of the limits of PCR material is that during each recycling process, the materials can begin to lose their quality, which is why there are high-grade recyclates and low-grade recyclates. With Earth Powder it is essential that we use high-grade packaging materials to ensure the freshness and integrity of all the wonderful ingredients inside so you get the most out of the product.

PCR plastic is a circular material, so it can be recycled after use. You can safely recycle PCR plastic approximately seven-to-nine times.

We ship to Canada with International Express (2-4 day) shipping for a flat-rate fee of $14.99.
